Cement air chute conveyor is a device used to convey powdered materials such as cement. It is mainly composed of upper and lower troughs, air permeable layers, inlet and outlet ports, and fans.
Its working principle is to use the air with a certain pressure and flow provided by the fan to fluidize powdered materials such as cement through the air permeable layer. Because the chute has a certain inclination angle, the fluidized material flows from the feed port to the outlet along the chute under the action of gravity, thereby realizing the transportation of materials.
Cement air chute conveyor has the advantages of simple structure, reliable operation, high conveying efficiency, good sealing, energy saving and environmental protection, and has been widely used in cement production, storage and transportation. It can effectively transport cement from one place to another, meeting the material transportation needs in the production process.
Air supply: air with a certain pressure and flow rate is sent into the lower trough of the air chute through a fan and other equipment.
Air infiltration: the air in the lower trough penetrates upward through the breathable layer. The breathable layer is usually made of materials such as chemical fiber fabrics or ceramic porous plates, and its function is to evenly distribute the air to the material in the upper trough.
Material fluidization: when the air passes through the breathable layer and enters the material layer, the friction between the material particles is reduced, and the material is evenly lifted by the air, in a suspended state, forming fluidization. At this time, the fluidity of the material is greatly increased, similar to a fluid.
Material conveying: due to the certain inclination angle of the air chute, the fluidized material flows downward along the chute under the action of gravity, thereby realizing the conveying from the feed port to the discharge port. During the conveying process, the material always remains fluidized, which reduces the friction between the material and the trough body, reduces the conveying resistance, and makes the conveying smoother and more efficient.
Trough material: generally metal materials such as carbon steel or stainless steel are used. Carbon steel has high strength and wear resistance, can withstand the weight of the material and the impact force during transportation, and the cost is relatively low. Stainless steel has better corrosion resistance and is suitable for conveying some corrosive materials or using in harsh environments.
Breathable layer material: The breathable layer is a key component of the air chute. Commonly used materials include chemical fiber fabrics, ceramic porous plates, etc. Chemical fiber fabrics have good air permeability and flexibility, can allow air to pass evenly and fluidize the material, and have certain wear resistance and aging resistance. Ceramic porous plates have higher high temperature resistance, corrosion resistance and mechanical strength, and can maintain good air permeability under harsh conditions such as high temperature and high wear, but the cost is relatively high.
Positive pressure conveying mode: In the positive pressure conveying system, the air compressor or fan provides air with a certain pressure and passes it into the starting end of the conveying pipeline. After the material enters the pipeline from the feed port, it is pushed forward by the high-pressure air. Because the pressure in the pipeline is higher than the external atmospheric pressure, the material is transported to the designated unloading point along the pipeline under the action of aerodynamic force. This mode is suitable for long-distance and large-capacity material transportation, and can be transported to multiple unloading points at the same time.
Negative pressure conveying mode: The negative pressure conveying system uses a fan or vacuum pump to form a negative pressure environment lower than the external atmospheric pressure in the conveying pipeline. The material is sucked into the pipeline from the feed port. Under the action of the pressure difference, the air and the material are sucked together and flow along the pipeline, and finally reach the unloading point. At the unloading point, the material is separated from the airflow by a separator, and the air is discharged into the atmosphere after filtering and other treatments.
Negative pressure conveying is suitable for conveying some situations with high environmental requirements and no material leakage is allowed, and materials can be collected from multiple feed points.
Mixed conveying mode: There is also a mixed conveying mode, which combines the characteristics of positive pressure and negative pressure conveying. In one system, there are both negative pressure sections for collecting materials and positive pressure sections for long-distance material conveying to meet more complex conveying needs.
Structure and cost: simple structure, no complex moving parts, easy to manufacture and install, low maintenance cost.
Conveying performance: using air to fluidize the material for transportation, high efficiency, can achieve large flow transportation, and the conveying process is smooth and continuous.
Environmental protection and energy saving: fully sealed structure, can effectively avoid dust and material leakage; relying on air power to work, lower energy consumption than mechanical conveying equipment.
Adaptability and flexibility: good adaptability to powdery materials such as cement and fly ash; flexible layout and installation, can adjust the inclination angle and conveying route according to site and process requirements.
The air chute is suitable for conveying powdered materials with a particle size of 3-6 mm or less, such as cement, raw material powder, fly ash, slag powder, etc. This type of equipment relies on air to fluidize the material for conveying, and is not suitable for materials with large particle size, high moisture content, and poor fluidization performance. Because large-particle materials are difficult to be fluidized by air, they are prone to blockage, affecting the conveying efficiency and equipment operation.
Advantages: The air chute has a simple structure and low maintenance cost; it relies on air power to convey, and has low energy consumption; it adopts a sealed structure, which can effectively prevent material leakage and dust flying, and is environmentally friendly; it has strong adaptability to powdery and small granular materials, and can convey cement, fly ash and other materials with high conveying efficiency.
Disadvantages: The conveying distance of the air chute is limited, generally only a few dozen meters, and long-distance conveying is prone to material accumulation and blockage; it has high requirements for materials, and materials with large particle size or high humidity are difficult to convey; the operation depends on a stable air power source, and once the air supply fails, it will affect the conveying; the tilt angle must be strictly controlled during installation, and improper angles will cause abnormal material conveying.
Air inlet: The air chute consists of two upper and lower troughs with a breathable layer in between. The fan passes air with a certain pressure and flow into the lower trough, and the air enters the upper trough evenly through the breathable layer.
Material fluidization: When the air passes through the breathable layer and enters the material layer, the friction between the material particles is reduced, and the material is evenly lifted by the air and suspended, forming a fluidized state similar to a fluid.
