Vertical mills have significant advantages in material drying, mainly due to their design that allows a large amount of air to pass through the mill, so that the material is suspended in the mill. The material in this suspended state has a large contact area with the airflow and high heat exchange efficiency, so the drying capacity is strong. Relatively speaking, the airflow of the ball mill is limited, especially when processing raw materials with high humidity. The ball mill often needs to install additional drying equipment at the front end to make up for its insufficient drying capacity. Vertical mills have more advantages than ball mills in terms of floor space and initial construction cost.
